Fence post repairs, Gold Coast
Leaning fence? It's the posts.
When a fence leans or wobbles, the palings are usually fine. It's a post that's rotted off at the ground. Fix the post and the whole fence stands up again.

Signs you need it
- Fence leaning towards one side
- A section that moves when you push it
- Post snapped off at ground level
- Fence pushed over after a storm
- Post rotted where it meets the concrete
What we do
Dummy posts
A new post concreted in right beside the old one and bolted through, so the fence is held up without pulling the panel apart. Quick, tidy and usually the cheapest fix.
Full post replacement
When a dummy post won't do, the old post comes out, a new one goes in and the rails get fixed back on.
Straightened up
Fence pulled back to plumb before the new concrete sets, so it stands straight instead of leaning on a new post.

Questions
What's a dummy post?
A new post set in concrete next to the rotten one and fixed to it. The old post stays in the ground, the new one takes the load. It saves pulling the fence apart and it's usually the best value fix for a leaning fence.
Steel or timber posts?
Either. Steel doesn't rot, which is why a lot of repairs on the coast go steel. Tom will tell you which suits your fence from the photos.
