Paling and timber fence repairs, Gold Coast
Timber fence repairs. Palings, rails, the lot.
A few busted palings or a rotten rail doesn't mean a new fence. We swap out what's gone, nail the rest off tight and leave it looking like one fence again.

Signs you need it
- Palings kicked out, snapped or missing
- Gaps the dog keeps getting through
- Rails rotted through at the post
- Whole sections rattling or pulling away
- Capping or plinth boards split or fallen off
What we do
Palings replaced
Old palings pulled, nails ground back, new treated pine palings fitted and nailed off. Butted or lapped to match what's there.
Rails swapped
Rotten or snapped rails cut out and replaced so the palings have something solid to hold on to again.
Re-nailed tight
Loose sections get re-nailed top and bottom so the fence stops flapping in the wind.
Capping and plinths
Split capping and rotten plinth boards along the ground replaced, so water stops sitting on the paling ends.

Questions
Will the new palings match the old ones?
New palings are lighter in colour at first and weather down over a few months. If the fence has been stained or painted, Tom will tell you up front so you can decide whether to coat the new ones.
How many palings is worth fixing?
If the posts and rails are sound, fixing palings almost always beats a new fence. When rails are rotten the whole way along, Tom will tell you straight that it's time for a new one.
